CoaXPress Vision Camera GMAX32103

The MARS-10300-24X2C-TF is a high-performance 103-megapixel CoaXPress industrial camera designed for advanced machine vision applications. It delivers excellent image quality and supports high-speed data transmission, making it ideal for demanding industrial inspection, scientific research, and medical imaging.

With its CoaXPress interface, the camera provides a fast and stable connection to the frame grabber, enabling high-resolution imaging at elevated frame rates. To fully leverage the capabilities of the Gpixel GMAX32103 sensor, the camera is equipped with a M72-mount. (Recommended lenses are available.)

COLOR INDUSTRIAL CAMERA

An industrial color camera uses a Bayer pattern to generate color images. The RGB value of each pixel is calculated based on its own value and the values of neighboring pixels. As a result, color images are generally less sharp than those produced by monochrome cameras.

Because of the RGB color filter, each pixel captures, on average, about 66% fewer photons under white light compared to a monochrome sensor. This makes color cameras less light-sensitive. To compensate for this, the following adjustments can be made:

Increase the amount of light
Increase the gain
Increase the shutter speed / exposure time
Select a more light-sensitive sensor
Use a more light-sensitive lens

Industrial color cameras are typically used in applications where color information is critical.

Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) with Fan

The camera uses a thermoelectric cooling (TEC) system and an integrated fan to effectively reduce thermal noise and produce high-quality images.By leveraging the Peltier effect, the TEC keeps the CMOS image sensor at a stable, controlled temperature—up to 15 °C below ambient conditions. This stable cooling environment allows longer exposure times and improves the camera’s sensitivity, making it suitable for demanding applications such as those in the medical field.Compared to standard TEC cooling, the TEC-with-fan design offers even more precise temperature control. Depending on the application and ambient temperature, it can achieve lower sensor temperatures than models without a fan.
