The Mars USB3 Series is an industrial-grade imaging camera equipped with high-resolution global shutter sensors. The USB3 interface offers high-speed data transfer and cost efficiency, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of imaging solutions.

Imaging Color Camera

A color imaging camera utilizes a Bayer pattern filter to capture full-color images. The RGB value of each pixel is computed by interpolating data from adjacent pixels, which results in slightly reduced image sharpness compared to monochrome cameras.

Because the RGB filter allows each pixel to capture approximately 66% fewer photons than a monochrome sensor, color cameras are inherently less light-sensitive. To compensate for this reduced sensitivity, the following adjustments can be applied:

Increase the illumination intensity
Extend the exposure time
Increase the gain
Use a more light-sensitive lens
