Industrial USB 3.0 Vision camera with 90 degree head IMX226

The Mercury2 USB 3.0 camera is an industrial-grade vision camera featuring a USB 3.0 interface and a 90-degree right-angle camera head. The USB 3.0 connection provides the high bandwidth required for high-resolution and high-speed image acquisition, making the camera ideal for demanding vision applications.

This interface is fully compatible with embedded platforms—such as the Raspberry Pi 4 or higher and the NVIDIA family of processors—as well as standard x86 computers, ensuring broad platform flexibility.

Industrial Color camera

Color cameras use a Bayer pattern to create full-color images. Each pixel’s color value is calculated together with its neighbors, which makes the image less sharp compared to a monochrome camera. Because of the RGB filter, each pixel captures up to 66% fewer photons under white light, making color cameras less sensitive to light. This can be balanced by increasing light, gain, or exposure time, or by choosing a more light-sensitive sensor or lens.

Industrial color cameras, however, are designed with larger, more light-sensitive pixels than standard security cameras or webcams — giving you excellent image quality with rich detail and true-to-life color.

I/O Port for Hardware Trigger, Strobe Control, and PLC Communication

The I/O connector on the USB camera uses an 8-pin HR25 Hirose interface, a widely accepted standard in the industrial machine vision market. The camera supports an input for external hardware triggering, while its output can be used to activate a light source—such as an industrial vision strobe—for precise illumination control. In addition, the camera features two General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) ports that can be fully programmed via our SDK to support application-specific automation requirements.
